Terms & Conditions
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Areos, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Sharing accounts or using multiple accounts may result in a ban.
Conduct
- No exploiting bugs or glitches
- No harassment or toxic behaviour
- No real-world trading (RWT) of in-game items
- No use of third-party software or bots
Donations & Purchases
Areos is a free-to-play game. Any payment you make through the store, cart, or wallet top-up ("Donation") is a voluntary contribution toward the operation of the service, in exchange for which we may grant in-game virtual items, currency, ranks, or cosmetics ("Virtual Goods") at our discretion.
Virtual Goods have no real-world monetary value. They are not currency, property, or a financial instrument, cannot be redeemed, exchanged, or cashed out for real money, and are licensed to your account for use within Areos only — they are not sold to you. We may modify, rebalance, or discontinue any Virtual Good, store item, or in-game system at any time.
By making a Donation you confirm that:
- You are the account holder, at least 18 years old (or have your parent/guardian's permission and supervision), and legally permitted to use the payment method in your jurisdiction;
- You are the authorized holder of the card, bank account, or payment method used, or have the explicit permission of its owner to use it for this purchase;
- The billing name, billing address, and In-Game Name you provide at checkout are accurate; and
- You are not purchasing with funds obtained through fraud, chargebacks, or any other unlawful means.
Prices are listed in USD and may include taxes or currency-conversion fees charged by your bank or our payment processor, which are outside our control. All Donations are processed by a third-party payment processor (currently Stripe); we do not store your full card number.
Refund & Delivery Policy
All Donations are final and non-refundable once payment is confirmed, regardless of whether the associated Virtual Goods have been claimed. This applies to store purchases, cart checkouts, and wallet top-ups alike. We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or credit for: change of mind, dissatisfaction with a Virtual Good, an in-game balance change or rebalance made after purchase, loss of Virtual Goods due to your own account actions (including bans issued for a Terms violation), or failure to claim a purchase in a timely manner.
Purchased Virtual Goods are delivered to your account automatically and are claimed in-game with ::claim. If a Donation does not deliver correctly, contact support before disputing the charge with your bank — see Chargebacks below.
Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
If something goes wrong with a Donation, contact Areos support first. We resolve the overwhelming majority of payment issues directly and quickly once we're made aware of them. Filing a chargeback, dispute, or payment reversal with your bank or payment provider without first contacting support is treated as an attempt to obtain Virtual Goods fraudulently, regardless of your actual intent, and will result in:
- Immediate, permanent suspension of the associated account and any other account linked to the same payment method, device, IP address, or in-game character;
- Forfeiture of all Virtual Goods, wallet balance, and purchase history on the affected account(s) — not limited to the disputed transaction;
- The disputed transaction being contested with the payment processor using the evidence collected at checkout (billing details, IP address, ToS acceptance record, and delivery confirmation);
- The account and payment details being reported to fraud-prevention services shared across RSPS and gaming communities; and
- Areos pursuing recovery of the disputed amount, plus any processor-imposed chargeback fee, through invoicing or a third-party collections process, where permitted by law.
A reversed chargeback (i.e. later withdrawn by the cardholder or ruled in our favor) does not automatically restore a banned account; reinstatement is at our sole discretion.
Fraud Prevention
We retain records of every Donation — including billing name and address, IP address, device information, the accepted Terms of Service timestamp, and In-Game Name provided at checkout — for as long as reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, respond to a payment dispute, and comply with our payment processor's requirements. We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or reverse any order we reasonably suspect is fraudulent, unauthorized, or made in violation of these Terms, without prior notice.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.
Modifications
These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
